The historic sites on both sides of the canal today are still available in Gongchen Bridge Historic and Cultural Area. Enjoying privileged support from local governments, Canal Business District has become an emerging CBD in Gongshu District, Typical projects in this area include the Ocean International Center, Wantong Center and Greenland Central Square.
