Hangzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang Province, located at the southeast coast of China. It serves as the political, economic, cultural, educational financial center and transportation hub for Zhejiang Province and the southeast China, it is an important e-commerce center in China. Up to 2017, Hangzhou consists of 10 districts, with a total area of 16,596 square kilometers and around 9.18 million residential population.
Thanks to the enlarging metro network and the ever-expanding high-speed railway and highway network in China, the convenient transportation has brought Hangzhou unceasing opportunities. Hangzhou is famous for gathering private-owned companies, nearly one fifth of China's top 500 private-owned enterprises headquartered in Hangzhou. The ecommerce giants Alibaba also originated here in Hangzhou. Hangzhou has attracted thousands of technology firms to locate here, leading the technology industry growth, it is becoming the next technology center of China. The real estate projects in Hangzhou has also brought it new energy, e.g. Kerry Center, China Resources Building, Raffles City, Canhigh Center, Huanglong Vanke Center and Ocean International Center etc. With the success of 2016 G20 Summit and the upcoming Asian Games in 2022, Hangzhou is looking forward to a brighter future.
